The Cannondale prepared by Cyclocrossworld.com Professional Cyclocross Team has reloaded in a big way for the 2012-2013 season, signing two-time cyclocross national champion and two-time mountain bike national champion Ryan Trebon. Trebon joins six-time National Champion Tim Johnson, Jamey Driscoll and reigning U23 National Champion and elite womens silver medalist Kaitlin Antonneau on the squad for 2012.

“Stu [Thorne] asked me if I wanted to race for the team, and I asked him why do you want me to race for you? He said because we want to win races and thats pretty much all it took to convince me.

“Ive known Stu for a long time and I have a lot of respect for him. I think that he does a really good job at what he does. It was kind of an offer I couldnt refuse to pass up.

“Im really looking forward to not having to worry about anything else besides just racing. I know those guys will take care of it all and its a good opportunity for me to just concentrate 100% on what happens in the races.”

In Trebon, Cannondale prepared by Cyclocrossworld.com brings in the United States top finisher at last years World Championships held in Koksijde, Belgium and a man who finished the season at number 15 on the UCI cyclocross rankings. On top of that, Trebon took home eight UCI categorized victories, despite missing over a month of racing with a knee injury. Trebon finished off his U.S. season with a silver medal at the US National Championships, the ninth medal of his career.

Its not just the wins and the results that Cannondale prepared by Cyclocrossworld.com is excited to add to the roster. Despite the injury that he suffered mid-way through last season, Trebon fought his way to the end, running purely on guts and pride. Its this determination and toughness that Cannondale prepared by Cyclocrossworld.com are excited to have this season.

Trebon is confident of fitting directly into a team, which has led the way in professionalism for the last half decade. The guys at Cannondale prepared by Cyclocrossworld.com have been doing it for a really long time, and I trust Stu a lot. He knows what it takes to show up at races and get things done competitively. It was a really easy transfer. I dont have to worry about anything with him. They have their stuff dialed in really well.

Further, Trebon will have the added luxury of another new member of the Cannondale prepared by Cyclocrossworld.com family, mechanic and long-time friend Dusty Lebarr.

“Dusty is one of my best friends and I trust him implicitly and I know that hell take care of everything regardless of how much effort it takes him.”

Despite the shift in teams, Trebons goals for the 2012-2013 season remain the same as in years past: the U.S. National Championships, the US Gran Prix of Cyclocross, and success internationally. This season, however, will be a little different with the UCI World Championships taking place in Louisville, Kentucky.

“My goals are the same as I assume everyone elses are: I want to do well at the USGPs and Im pretty keen on Nationals, but having Worlds in Louisville is important and I think Im going to try and arrive there with the best fitness possible. I think that the structure behind the team is going to help me get there with the fitness that I need and with the least amount of stress. That was one of the deciding factors in the direction I took myself this year.”

With the addition of Ryan Trebon, Cannondale prepared by Cyclocrossworld.com now claims three of Americas top four riders on the 2011-2012 UCI rankings among its ranks. With this much firepower, the team is confident heading into a new season, and excited about the biggest season the United States has had to date.
